flashing for 4l80
i have a stock 12606807 os flash that needs the 4l80 segment. truck has been swapped to 4l80 and 6.0l
i cant find a os that matches, can i start with this flash
"2006 Chevrolet Silverado Truck Automatic LQ4 6.0 Litre (12587811)" found on holden and update it?
just want to make sure flashing this wont brick the ecm.

As long as you use the OS from the same year as your vehicle you should be good. My understanding is that the Electronic Pedal and Module changed in 06 and the older calibrations won't work correctly.
You might want to just take that OS and put your Vin in it, and Flash the whole thing.
You shouldn't Brick the PCM.
If the vehicle will start it will go into "REP" mode if something is not correct.
"Reduced Engine Power"
This will only allow you to go 20 miles an hour.
If it doesn't work you should be able to flash the original calibration back in with no problems.
If that Doesn't work you can copy the individual Engine Table values over and place them in the original calibration, then copy the Transmission segment and swap it.
If you're still unsure or not confident, Try asking over on the EFI Live forum. The guys are usually pretty helpful in steering you in the right direction.
