the best thing for city driving is to change your driving style. coast more before getting to a light...try to time the lights so that your not stopping at all.

if you really can't avoid stopping...and you're stopped for long periods...there's really nothing to be done, that just kill mileage no matter what.

Yeah, I try and take off easy (not so easy ) and I can coast a long ways but timing the lights...impossible. There are at least 7 lights on the way to work and back (4.9 miles) When I get a straight shot to work (once a year) its a momentous occasion

and you have full right to ride his ***. Don't let his green name scare you either.

I am with colyneedsv8, I have thousands of miles logged (I keep details on my mileage no matter what I drive, green minivan 17.5MPG, colorado 5cy 21MPG, and Nikki 10MPG on her best days) and have found the biggest effect is simple. Turn the damn motor off when you have no plans to move soon. EASY on throttle transitions and plenty of coasting. All those people you cuss...they get better MPG than you. Trying hard at it I can get 24MPG in the colorado just with style change.(most rural and some highway)

Hey trever, have you ever tried making any changes to your DFCO settings? In hptuners which is what I tune with I have noticed some increases in mileage by lowering the rpm at which DFCO is enabled and few other settings with DFCO.

I have had some success with some of my changes but every truck is different.

No, stock DFCO. I was looking at it last night too.
