Default fuel pressure drop

At wot my fuel pressure will drop from 60# to about 54#. It has a airtex replacement fuel pump. 42# injectors and a vette fuel filter on the rail to convert the return fuel lines to the returnless fuel rail. Looking at the raxetronix drop in fuel pump. It's rated at 230lph@58#. Would I have any issues running this pump with my current fuel set-up?

Put the Racetronix pump in. You need a good pump before you can be suspect of the rest of the fuel system.

And the airtex is probably marginal with a stock engine. The Racetronix might even allow for some growth with your next performance upgrade.

so the racetronix flows 230lph @ 58# and 255lps @ 43.5#
Would I bennifit if I used the stock fuel rail @ 43#?

I think that because you only drop 10 psi, running at 43 psi might be an improvement. With a stock pump in my truck, I've goosed my throttle and seen pressure drop as low as 32 psi from a 68 psi start. Power died at about 2800 rpm. I then lowered the fuel pressure to 43 psi, and it wound out to maybe 3000 before the power quit. Anyway, dropping the fuel pressure will extend the pump's capability. Even if it gives you all you need, you still have that timebomb airtex, always on the verge of failure.
Oh, yeah: you know you have to retune for different fuel pressure, don't you?

Yea, I know about the retune as the AFRs would be crazy lol. Thanks, Im about to order the Racetronix FP. Ill see how that does then decide if I need to get my stock fuel rail modified to use the fpr.

Check your fuel filter to make sure it isnt clogged up, if its not then look into the fuel pump. Im loosing pressure from 4500rpms+ and this is what Justin(BBP) told me to check.

The filter only has about 5k miles on it. I'm going to change it when I replace my fuel pump anyway.
