full throttle upshift

full throttle upshift
so i heard on tow haul mode people are having a full throttle upshift only done.
meaning cruise in first gear doing 20 25 30 or whatever and truck will stay in first till you floor it then it will let it upshift.. but only once full throttle.
i hate how when i put it in first and im doing 20 right when i go to hit (seems like a split second before i floor it) it shifts into second on its own out of no where.
everytime it makes me miss the manual valve bodie in my 96

BAC327,, the easiest way to do this is to figure out your WOT MPH shift points. Lets say 50 1-2 and 90 2-3
You set the T/H Part throttle 1-2 Shift Column to 50mph and the PT 2-3 Shift Column to 90.
And you set the T/H PT 2-1 and 3-2 Downshift columns accordingly.
It helps a ton with the 80E since it takes a while for it to downshift.
I use to have mine setup like that when i had the turbo but it sucked when my dad or brother would borrow the truck and haul something. They always would call me asking me why it wouldnt shift..

maybe i should look into this for my retune with BBP. i told him sport mode, which it takes less throttle for it to downshift/firmer shifts/higher rpm shifts, but i dont have this type of race mode. think ill get it, will be great when i get my 4.88's in
