Default gauges stop working, randomly. any ideas?

Hey guys I hope someone has some clues for me.

My fuel and temp gauge drop to zero randomly. Usually when this happens the information center scrolls through EVERY warning, the abs and ses lights and brake light all come on.
It still runs and drives normal. Everything else works including the abs.

Weather conditions don't matter. Dry, wet, hot, cold. Still does it randomly.

This is in a 2000 1500 4x4 EXT cab. 5.3/4l60e. All stock.

Any ideas?

The fuel going from empty to full or vice versa can be because your fuel sending unit can be going bad

I understand that, and I appreciate the input. But its many more things all at once. Not just the fuel gauge. Just about the whole panel freaks out. The speedo and tach are ok. And the oil pressure and volts are ok. Those gauges don't stop. Everything else does and the DIC scrolls through every single warning at the same time too.
It's really strange.

Mine did that on my 02 it ended up being where the harness pluged into cluster, where the solder points are were loose. Try taking the bezel off, unscrew the cluster but keep it pluged in and see if you can wiggle the plug, if its the plug you should see the gauges drop.
