Getting a tune, who to call?
It looks like I'm going to need a real tune for the swap I just did. I'm still getting the trans slip code, and the engine is pretty flat down low. I can't even break the tires loose from a stop. The 6.0 and cam should allow me to do that I would think. I've got the Jesse Bubb tune, but I think my stock computer would do the same. Can any shop that does Dyno tuning help me out, or do we have to use a Westers, Wait4me and the likes?
Thanks,
Will

I'm down in Southern Alabama, Dothan area. So, our trucks can be dyno tuned just like an LS1, or does the shop have to have something special for it?

I'd swap out the 99 PCM for a tuned 02 PCM, if Jesse didn't already do so. The 99-00 PCM's are horrible and prone to false knock...do a search on 99-02 PCM swap and you'll find a wealth of info on the subject. Also, if you re-used your stock injectors, you're gonna want to replace them with something from 00 and up also. 99 injectors only flow 21.7 lb/hr while 00 and up injectors flow 24 lb/hr. Of course if you could find a tuner close by that has the truck software to do a street/dyno tune that would be best.
