Just ran into that, still need to investigate... I didn't mess with cranking advance though, so I don't see why it makes a difference now

Edit: that cranking advance table is untouched in all tunes I see in the repository, stock, aftermarket injectors or otherwise. All the same. So I guess thats out...

Ok, you said that you also changed the short pulse adder, offsets, min. pulsewidth, etc... where did you get those values from? The injector scaling isn't exactly what I was referring to when I asked about scaling everything in the tune correctly.

The guy I bought the injectors from said the offset and minimum pulse width information in his tune was accurate, so I used it. For the offset, I had to use a little filling because the data I got was only for the 0-80kpa vacuum range in his GenIII tune, whereas on my table that range begins at 400 and ends at 480 for pressure delta.

I'm inclined to believe him since it runs great...just the starting that's a pain. I am convinced that its just getting too much fuel during cranking..

No worries, I'll figure it out sooner or later. I'll chase this one down to the bitter end if I have to. I'll put the tune up on the repository after I'm done so anybody who needs it can go grab it.

All right, my tuning knowledge is making some progress I reduced some values in my Cranking VE table around 80kpa and it starts much easier now. In the logs it shows up as reduced throttle position, so it must have been getting too little fuel. I might try to dig up some more Cranking VE tables in the repository to see if there have been any similar changes made to what I just did.
Also Mike (just for you), I dropped that -10 degree cranking advance to 0 degrees, and it feels like it fires a bit quicker now. If nothing at all, it should help out hot starts a bit if the ECM is pulling values from those 212 degree F cells.
