Gaahhhh I wish I was home I could show you what my custom harness already came with. It has 2 red wires already labeled "Fan 1" and "Fan 2". They are both accompanied by black ground wires, but what confuses me is that the company who made my harness said to hook up the ground wire to my relay if I wanted to control the 18" fan with the PCM. He said if I was only using 1 fan, to only hook up "Fan 1" wire and to take the fuse out of "Fan 2". It was this "Fan 2" wire that I had originally asked about in my first post, wondering if I could use that to trigger the A/C 8" fan to come on only when the A/C kicks on.
The company who made my harness was Current Performance wiring and they are VERY good at what they do, thus the $840 something dollar price tag for a stand alone harness.

It could be 2 different ways...
You do know the PCM uses a switch to ground the pin?
I dont know exactly how the wiring harness is setup.. but you could ground the wire in the harness and run the switch wire to the "Green"? wire goin to the AC CLutch.....
kinda hard to help you without having the harness infront of me.

I'm confident I can get the A/C to function how I want, I'll just set it up as a stand alone system.
What I'm really after now is getting the dual speed function on the 18" fan.
Here's what I'm trying to do.
-engine is cold, 18" fan is off
-truck is going more than 55mph, 18" fan is off provided engine is cold
-engine is warm, 18" fan turns on LOW, off after engine cools
-engine continues to warm and is now hot on LOW fan speed, then 18" fan turns on HIGH
I see now that in order to run 1/2 speed I need 1/2 the volts, so the question then is, how do I cut the volts in half when only running a single fan? The A/C fan is out of the picture for radiator cooling. It's not even on the radiator.

Ive got an idea on how you could do this....
altho you alread have the harness, if you want to add 2 more relays you can use the A/C fan to get your voltage down..
So when your ECT gets to your set point, both fans come on low
AC comes on your AC fan comes on high
ECT at set point and AC on.. then both fans come on high..
