heat soak issues

heres the messed up part...i never told my tuner to tune out the knock sensors but they have been for sure. my buddy with the hptuners knows a lot about tuning and clearly i dont. when he said theres no counts of knock i took it as thats a good thing, and he was like no dude not good by any means they tuned out the knock sensors and look at your tuning graph. it literally looked like ocean waves, neither me or him have ever seen something so messed up timing wise

yessir it is, but data loggs showed they have been tuned out. they had no functions whatsoever. dont tuners sometimes turn down the sensitivity due to the added vibrations from the cam?

There is no way to see if they have been tuned out from a data log. It would just show 0 knock all the time. That doesn't necessarily mean they were tuned out. Can you post the tune/log so we can put that to rest.

just for the record i wasnt planning on posting it on here just out of respect for him, but i do plan on sending it to him via email to get these issues addressed. i think i may have to start a post in the tuning section to get some of these issues addressed without putting any names in. between the idling problem, random stalling, bad timing graphs part throttle and wot it aint pretty. and in all honesty well see if im even able to post it, im horrible with anything that involves a computer lol

I wrapped my CAI box and tube with simple home a/c duct insulation from Home Depot, about $15 total. Doesn't look great, but my truck isn't a show truck. I noticed a SOTP difference afterwards. Didn't log before or after IAT's, but by theory alone, it should help keep underhood temps out of the intake.
