Whats your Rev limiter set at? if you havent changed it.. it might be hitting it and then shifting... i made that mistake a few times... set it to 6200 or something.. i had mine set at 6500 so i could hold it in second gear at the track...

You still on a stock trans?

Edit:

Wait.. you have a 2002... disreguard the rev limiter... you would know if it hit it...
If i had HPT i could look at it for you.. but im using EFI Live....

At WOT, Shift MPH has no impact on mine,...just RPM. Haven't figured out the logic between the MPH table and the shift points yet. Would love for someone to map out what tables it impacts and what needs to be satisified to have the tranny shift at a MPH vs. RPM at WOT (I am sure someone has but it never really mattered to me).

Anyone?

I have had the same problem, I changed all my shift speeds in the 100% collum to 0 mph. Also lowering the shift time below .20 only disables the adaptive shift. although you can disable this in the "Pressures" tab of the 01-02 PCM's......

That's not quite true Kevin. At WOT, it will shift at the later of WOT MPH or WOT RPM. Since VSS is based on the transmission output speed, if you have a very loose TC, you'll need to have this MPH set to a speed quite a bit lower than your RPM shift, unless you're shifting with the converter locked up.

Fortunately for us EFILive folks, we can see what RPM a particular speed is in each gear in the statusbar.

I've made a gear calculator in Excel to accomplish this for vehicles that don't have this gear calc feature supported (OBS trucks mostly).

Do you have a log of this happening with the commanded gear PID logged? Its possible that the shift is being commanded when it should, but it's taking the transmission that long to actually complete the shift.

Well....a guy on hptuners.com told me to fix the Force Current Motor table and a few other tables and its much much better. I finally have a 1-2 WOT shift again.

Excellent Justin. Thank you for your insight! I haven't palyed too much with that table and only noticed that the RPM shift set-point seemed to override the MPH set-point at WOT on my set-up. Maybe I will start to play with that table a bit more to fully understand it
