Couldn't you just turn off the CAT over temp protection if you gut your cats? This "protection" will cause you too run a richer scenario if the rear o2's are unhappy with higher temps eh? Maybe this would cut down on typical richer scenario's that you hear about (myself included) when you gut your cats.

disabling COT will get rid of that extra dump of fuel. if your still running the stock multiplier it will still be somewhat rich like around 11:1 i believe.

Just disable the rear 02's and thier codes

the only other thing that should be causing you to run richer when not in pe is open loop f/a vs temp vs map

disable rear o2's? I mean turned off all codes that had something to do with them, but I don't know about turning them off specifically. Who's to say just cuz the code is off the ecm doesn't still react to the data coming from the rear o2's...so how do I disable them without cutting them out(just incase of visual inspection at the emmissions testing facility)

I dont even have them just unplug the sensor and hang it so it isnt on the exhaust all they do is return a non specific voltage of course if they are unplugged infinite resistance
