Holty-

Have you done a crank relearn on it?

I got a radix tune from Bryan and was seeing KR like CRAZY, 20* was not uncommon, and nothing I did seemed to help. Even tuning down to 5* advance it would still show up.

Ben Strader (EFI University) recommended I give a crank relearn a shot. Holy crap, problems SOLVED.

My tune wasn't throwing a CPK learn needed code, but it nevertheless was required to get it running right.

Hmmmmm....we never thought of that! I'd try that before getting too far with changes. Thanks for the idea!!!

Also, out of curiousity, what are your O2 readings up top, and what are your timing values?

I just moved to CA and had to up my PE multiplier to compensate for oxygenated gas as well as swap back down to the stock pulley. 91 Octane would not get along with the 3" pulley.

since i have his scan I'll answer for him

3600/847
4000/878
4400/873
4800/873
5200/874
5600/892
6000/894

right before he jumps into PE at 3200 he is 100%tps and his o2 is at 600.

All data set to average.

At 2200 his advance is at 20 and scales down to 14 at 6000 (14 from 4800). You can see a few pockets where he has turned down the timing a few degrees.

I definitely heard about crank relearns putting a halt to this crazy level of kr before. Interested to hear how that went.

Hope you didn't mind me posting that info holty.

Those NBO2 readings are too low for forced induction and will cause knock regardless of whether he needs a crank relearn or not.

I'd suggest adding 0.03 to every value above 2800 in the PE Modifier vs rpm table. And re-evaluating from there. You want to see those O2 values closer to 920-930 with F/I.

For reference, when I had my Wideband hooked up last month, I was seeing an AFR of around 13:1 with 890mv, 11.7:1 with 920mv

Oh, and for reference, here is one of mine before I did the crank relearn

And afterwards, I would get 0.5* at most...

this is why I was wondering if it has been this way form the beginning. If mechanincal noise isn't the issue (as 02sierraz71_5.3 points out is rare) you'd have to imagine you are lean. dc_justin I'd imagine the lower rpm transition to pe would be better with the rate increase too...wouldn't ya say? Up top is only one area. He has knock all over the the map in heavy tip in.
