I know some of the sponsors include a tune when you purchase EFIlive from them, does anyone do this with hptuners? I am almost ready to purchase and would like to know if anyone does this to help out a newbie, or is there enough tunes on the hptuners forum to get me started? Thanks for any help

I'm going to add a question to this thread rather than start a new one.

I'm also considering buying hp tuners or efi live, how many credits does it take to tune a 99-06 truck? I've read the faq and its about clear as mud.

For HPT i believe its 2 credits?
For EFI Live its 1 license.

Yes HPT is 2 credits, if you do a custom operating system such as speed density etc. its 4 total. 2 for the initial and 2 more for the custom OS.

For the OP, there are sponsors here that offer tuning, and sell HPTuners. If you contact them, I'm sure they can sell you HPT, and also sell you a tune file to get you started.

Which sponsor uses HPT? I think wheatley and nelson?

Blackbear uses EFI Live.

With hp tuners once you license you truck can make changes in the future? Or do you need more credits?

You'll license the PCM one time, and then you can flash it with as many changes as you ever need to.
