Get the classic version. It reviewed well. 12.00 app or 100.00 gtech?

I just messed with the new version at it appears it's down. They tried to make the app all social. The original is just for dyno stuff. Not much social integration at all.

Really? Thank you!

That was the first time I have even messed with HPTuners. I did the segment swap and e-fans at the same time. I removed 100% of torque management in tow/haul mode, and left 20% in normal mode.

Here's a video of me playing with your tune.

I couldn't sleep so I drove to the weigh station and went and played a bit. The truck actually weighs 5450 in its current state. LOL.

Here's a more accurate version:

I tried to get a video of the roll racing tow/haul mode. You can sort of see the effect here.

It would be very interesting to see how close the app is by making a run with it at the track and then compare time slip to the app results. That's what I have done with my gtech and that thing is very accurate! Within a tenth or so.

I agree you should do a pass at the track and compare with the app! Should be interesting haha and nice demonstration of the tow haul lol everyone thinks something is wrong with the tow haul when I tune the truck. You have a single cab ? If so then u should have better numbers well at least here at sea level genIII single cabs 5.3s that ive tuned bone stock ran 14.5 at the 1/4

I will make it to the track to play. I love experimenting. My truck is a RCSB but is AWD. So there's a lot of extra weight with the transfer case and front diff. Also, the 4L80E weighs more than the 60E. Not to mention the sub woofer, and it's box. Then all the sound deadening, and amplifiers. Plus the power/leather seats aren't exactly light. The truck will be faster when I take 400lb of crap out of the bed.

I should have a day off this week. I'll clean out the truck and see how much time I pick up.

I can see how the roll race tune would confuse people. It's alarming. You press on the gas, as if you're going to pass someone, and nothing happens. The engine just revs up to redline and it feels like something is broken. It's as if you have the clutch in and you're just free revving the engine.

It'll be fun to play with the nitrous kit. I'm going to start with the 50 shot first, then 100. But when I go to 150 should I take 4° of timing out and put in a set of cooler spark plugs?

ah so you lose a lot of power on the long run due the extreme drivetrain losses. you should pick up about .4 seconds with all that weight taken off! lol yea, i thought you guys in the truck world knew about the tow haul tunes though? i guess its just here in houston lol, im attaching a new file! i suggest you use this one, and whenever you go for the 150 shot take off 4-5 degrees to be on the safe side!

Cool man. Thank you!

What's different in this tune? I work a graveyard tonight so I won't be home until 7:30am. I won't be able to load it and play until Tuesday afternoon at the earliest.

I'm sure lots of people tune the tow/haul mode. I'm just a beginner.
