There aren't any listed Minimum requirements but pretty much any modern laptop will work. If it's strong enough to run windows Xp it will run EFI live.
At idle my scan tool uses 28,916k of memory and Tune tool uses 38,900k.

Firefox right now is at 83,196k of memory usage right now for comparison.

Just proves how manly you are. Only a real man can go out in public with a pink laptop......oh and a gay guy too.

Find something with a decent processor and a couple gigs of ram and you'll be fine.

Ebay has some but good ones are expensive.

I would just buy a netbook. Been thinking about getting one just for tuning. Small, lightweight, easy to carry and will run EFILive without a problem. And you can buy them brand new for about $300. They're becoming a favorite for many tuners. Just pick your brand, pretty much all of them will work fine as they for the most part they all run the same processors.

I use a Dell Netbook and the thing is great (albeit I use HPT). I sprung for the faster processor and extended battery and still only spent $425. Not bad for a Brand New computer that will be totally dedicated for tuning. Yea, it has WiFi, a camera and crap like that however I couldn't delete those options to save money. Check out other brands as you may be able with those. The only 2 issues I have is screen size (obviously) and no pin mouse, just the mouse finger pad.

BTW, the extended battery lasts a solid 6 hours while actively using the laptop...more than enough to last the day at the strip.
