One of my friends wants me to tune out the egr on his 06 LBZ, I use HPtuners on a couple of gas trucks but dont have the slightest when it comes to the Duramax's.

any help with what needs to be mechanically removed from the motor and what to tune out.

I run a blocker plate on my lbz. and then cleared the codes with tuning i made for myself.


Im not 100% on what advantages the delete over the block gets you, other then having the stuff removed from your truck. Co-worker just got the delete done on his lmm this weekend.. im waiting to see it.

 

i run the blocker plate too, and just turn the egr dtc(s) to no error reported in HPTuners
