I thought they came pre programed to simulate a narrow band on one output and a gauge on the other output?

I may be wrong but that is what i remember seeing when we tried to program scotts...

I haven't messed with one for a long time, but last I remember, one output comes preprogramed for a 0-1v just like a narrow and the other for a 0-5v, normal WB output. There is a PID already made in EFILive for the 0-5v, so you shouldn't need to reprogram the LC-1 which is what the serial port is for, well, that and using their software to view and log with...

Kb on the efi live lc1 tutorial it takes you thru reprogramming the wideband. I really hope your right.

to quote the LC-1 manual:

As factory programmed the first output simulates a typical narrow band oxygen sensor. The
second output is programmed to output between 0 V for an AFR of 7.35 (gasoline) and 5.0V for
an AFR of 22.39. Other curves of course are easily programmable

The reason Scott's probably didn't work is because he bought it used and it was probably reprogrammed at one time or another and didn't output 0-5v that EFI-live recognizes.

Also, has anyone managed to use the wideband o2 also as a narrowband o2 simulator? It seems like it would be an outstanding thing to do since you've already got all the power and ground wires you need in the o2 plug harness. Thoughts?

Scott's is new....

the EFI Live PID is as such:

# Innovate LC-1 WBO2
# ========================
*CLC-00-926
V 0.0 5.0 .1 "{EXT.AD1}"
AFR 10.0 20.0 .2 "({EXT.AD1}*3)+7.35"

*CLC-00-927
factor 0.0 2.0 .1 "{CALC.AFR_LC11.AFR}/{GM.AFR}"
*CLC-00-928
V 0.0 5.0 .1 "{EXT.AD2}"
AFR 10.0 20.0 .2 "({EXT.AD2}*3)+7.35"
*CLC-00-929
factor 0.0 2.0 .1 "{CALC.AFR_LC12.AFR}/{GM.AFR}"

so in recap....

Preprogramed
0 V for an AFR of 7.35 (gasoline) and 5.0V for an AFR of 22.39
EFI LIve PID
0 V for an AFR of 10.00 (gasoline) and 5.0V for an AFR of 20.00

BTW the values preprogrammed on the LC1 are for the DBx gauges....

On a side note, you could create a custom PID to reflect those preprogramed values...

That would be a simple fix and would not require reprograming the gauge, i am not sure if those values would make it less/more accurate...

Wide Band AFR 1 - LC-1 {CALC.AFR_LC11}

Expression:
AFR = ({EXT.AD1}*3)+7.35
is VALID

Wide Band AFR 1 - LC-1 {CALC.AFR_LC11}

Expression:
V = {EXT.AD1}
is VALID

It looks like it's good to go Corey. I'm running V1 and you've got V2 so maybe something is different there.
