Yes, its about a 5/8" hole and i used a rubber grommet and some RTV sealant. Dont think there are any other holes or grommets in that area.

I did both, i permanently installed the wiring under the truck and under the console, but i temped up the power so i can just unplug it when im not using it. I did that with the cigarrette plug.

I used the analog 1 output, and i wired up the LED so i could tell if there were any errors during the setup.

Yes, you need 12v to it and make sure you have the mini jacks hooked up correct with the one terminator plug.

I kept them out, one is for the terminator, the other is for the serial cable. Obviously your not going to keep your serial cable hooked up, and I also left the terminator plug out as well.

wow, thanks for all the help.

One more ?. have any of you used the usb to serial adapter thingy? Is it just a direct wire or does it use a converter in between? Any pics?

Yes, its just a direct cable. DB9 to USB.

Get a BELKIN. The older one I had wouldnt link up. The new one should come with a driver CD rom.

Well, i tried to find a direct cable at radio shack and the all knowing radio shack employee tried to get all high and mighty w/ me saying that it wont work and theres no such thing and they are two different technologies, so i told him that i know that they are two different technologies, but im using a wideband controller w/ a (radio thingy? forgot what its called) plug and it already has that **** built in and says so in the manual but he kept cutting me off saying yeah, sure, right. Fu(k radio shack. Im going to fry's.

The one that didnt work came from Radio Shack. They are not too bright up there.
