Default lets compare

Hey guys,
Im new here to pt but have been a member of gmfs.com for awhile. i would like to do a comparo for custom tune vs out of box.

Should show like this

1. 08 Sierra 5.3 ext cab
2. CAI
3. Flowmaster 50
4. 22" with 275/45/22 pirelli
5. edge evo
6. 0-60 6.4
7. 1/4 14.8
8. 10000 miles

This will be a good tool for people looking at tunes vs tuners

I don't see how this would help anyone choose a tune/tuner.
All trucks are going to react different and some tuners tune different then others. On truck doing the 1/4 .3 faster than the other could be a few hundred lbs lighter. Or could have had better track conditions that day.
Most everyone has a list of mods, tune, and track times in their sig as well.

If you want to compare a Handheld to a Custom tune all you have to do is look at what each of them offer in tune-ability.

or the best way would be to load a tune, make a dyno run, load the other and then dyno that with NO OTHER CHANGES. I made 33hp over a canned tune.

I believed it was said by Spoolin that "a handheld tuner is like going down on a fat chick, it leaves a bitter taste in your mouth and you aren't sure if it was worth it or not"

Custom tune FTW! Cheaper too in some cases.

Heres my comparrison. 08 gmc ext cab 5.3 with edge programmer on factory 20s with intake and exhaust beat like a stepchild by an 04 ext cab 4.8 with a custom tune, intake and exhaust lifted on 33s. Happened about a month ago.LOL

What is the question Handheld vs Custom Tune? Is that even a question?
