Default message center mods?

Can i have custom messages on my center and delete ones i don't need? For example i want to get rid of "service 4wd" and the annoying "security" in exchange for something like "low vacuum" and "water in fuel".

I'm no tuning expert but i would expect this would possible/?

No can do as far as I know. All the message centers are preprogrammed with specific messages that are triggered by the PCM. Custom editing of the message center would basically require a custom OS for the PCM and BCM.

yea I have never heard of this being done either but it doesn't seem like a hard feat what with all the custom tuning going on in the performance world and we can't modify a little digital display.

Anyone have any experience with the message centers with shutting certain messages off at least?

Can't change the message center on the 99-02 trucks. But there is a way(I've seen it, but don't know how it's done) to make the message center read a "custom greeting" when you start the truck on the 03-07 trucks. Not sure if you can take it farther than that or not.
