Nelson Tune opinions wanted
#11
Nope, I am in balmy Minnesota.
I have not spoken to Allen directyl, but I intend to. Melissa told me he does not lock his tunes, at least not the "Light Mods" tunes.
I have a question regarding swapping modules. I too wanted a spare set of stock tuned modules to swap in for dealer visits or while getting my tune tweaked, but she was telling me that the exchange program is almost as good. There is no "downtime" because if you want a tune tweaked, they send you a new set of modules with the new/updated (or a stock) tune and you just have to send back the ones you exchanged within 14 days. So, if I know I need to go to the dealer, I could have them send me a set of stock tuned modules, put them in, go to the dealer, swap them back out afterward (within 14 days) and send them back. If this were to become a hassle, I could always buy a set of stock modules later.
Now for my question:
New modules typically require a Crank Position Relearn, correct? How would this work with exchanging modules all the time? I intend to discuss all of these types of questions with Allen, but I just thought I'd ask here as well.
Thanks!

As for the Crank Relearn, the possbillty you getting is 1 out of 20 vehicles.
If you happen, you can have the fixed at the dealer with out them knowing you have a tune.

This is correct, the dealer will not know anything when they do the relearn or at any point for that matter. If they ask why it needs a relearn which most will.... Tell them the battery has been disconnected for awhile and the light was on when you reconnected it and started it....
