Default New JET tuner program

A friend just got JET's new tuner program that looks alot like HP Tuner. It will do GM '96 and up trucks and cars. All kinds of parameters you can adjust. You can do 4 vehicles for the $400 price then add additionals for $100 each.

Anyone else seen it? Seems like a good deal for us older Vortec trucks.

That a better pricing structure then when Jet first bought it from tuner cats. But remember, it a TUNER ONLY, no scanner.

When they first came out with it, it was $500 with 2 licenses, then 100 for additional licenses and you could only put 6 vehicles on one cable then you had to buy another $500 cable

Still the poorest tuning solution out there IMHO

Right here, I wouldn't take their **** if they gave me a full license to edit/tune all of LSx based vehicles. uhmm..okay mayb....nevermind F$CK them, it's cheaper than everybody elses cause they don't have the support or a 1/4 of the technical knowledge to support that porduct. They will abandon it eventually and you'll be *** out. Sounds like a good deal, but I promise you, that company has no intentions to back that product enough to make me even raise an eyebrow. Don't they own an older version of...oh who cares...that company is a bunch of f$cking thieves.

I would never buy from them period.i can not stand jet period.
Tunercat sold out to jet and jet brought the prices up to a rediculous price. If I was you or anyone, never deal with this jet crap and get HPTuners or EFILive
It is nothing like HPTuners or EFILIve either,I Promise. There is no comparison.i have tunercat so i can tune vortec trucks. It is not user friendly at all and has no built in logger which sucks.
I personally have HPTuners and support 99-07 trucks, also have tunercat to support 96-06 trucks.I NEVER use tunercat (jet now) on the NBS trucks as HPTuners is beyond better.there is no comparison.
If you saw the differences you would do the same

I have all 3 (well, Tuner CATS, but the same as Jet). Here are screen shots for all the program of high octane spark tables. You can see the differences. Jet is the least user friendly of the bunch and is laid out poorly and has no scanner. HPT is nice and probable for the complete beginner, is the easy to navigate. I really do like EFILives layout the best. I feels to be the best laid out and easiest to navigate with there table labeling and there "search" navigator, that you can type in what table whether it be the table number or description and it will find you the table your looking for. I also like the table descriptions in EFILive that tell you what the table is and what other tables it is referenced to. this is just a bit of my .02 so take it how you will

OK guys who will get the "old" Vortec trucks some tuning options then? If this tuner can do them all(LS and Vortec) why won't the others at least let you tweak things liek tranny shift points?

I'll give you a POS Hypertech tuner. I did use it to adjust the tire diameter. Their "tune" made it go slower probably added too much timing and bumped of the knock sensor retard. The increased shift firmnes is barely enough to feel a difference.

EFILive will now do the 98-2000 vortec 4.3 and 5.7. And they have plans to have there scanner work all the way back to OBDI PCMs. I don't think they have plans to go back to 96 with the tuner though , but its better then nothing.
