New JET tuner program

I need a 97! It is still an OBDII. ven my wife's old 96 Suburban had OBDII.
It is for my truck that tows my hot rods, and I HATE the shift points.
So if this supports back to older OBDII why can;t the other guys easily?

Sounds like for what you want, might be best to get the jet tuner, since its the only option. FWIW, you can buy a scan only V1 EFILive for $250 (which can be upgraded to a full tune version via email at a later date), so you would have a scanner and tuner for around $650
A lot of these guys hate jet, but when its the only option, that makes it the worst and the best.

Unless EFILive or Hptuners comes out with something that will work for you, I would just use the tunercat/jet program. It sounds like it would work OK for what you are looking to do. Talk to James B. on this forum, he uses tunercat on his Tahoe and could probably give you some advice.

You still didn't define a scanner program, what is it scanning? Is it the data logging portion vs just changing parameters that a tuner can do? I know HP Tuner can do both. But unless you are at the track or a chassis dyno som eof that is really guess work also.
I got the old Hypertech for it which wasn't cheap at that time and it's basically a worthless tuner. They could for more $$ custom tune it for mods, but their "plain" tune was so bad I'd hate to rely on it for anything. Be neat to hack it and use it as an interface, but WAY beyond my skills.
