No drive after 5.3 to 6.0 swap

Yea we used the tranny that was already in the truck in good condition and as far as the tc we swapped them both first the lq9 one and then the 5.3 we didn't prefill the converter or anything alot of piques did come out of them though

We ended up selling the other tranny since the places we called either didn't want to or aid they didn't or charged way to much to swap the output shaft

pull one of the cooler lines and start the truck. if fluid starts coming out then its not the pump.

Not pre filling wont kill it as long as your filling the pan right away,since it was used it had fluild in it you cant get out,so its not from prefilling,need to check the basics fluid level,did transferecase get knocked into neutral ect..

Well we move the shifter up and down threw the difrent gears seems to be moving fine

It was a 2wd application. He already said it made a light grinding noise when they started it up.

In other words it sounds like the converter was not seated right and he damaged the pump.

As soon as I get some free time I'll test the pump ... Most Likly it is that from whatvive heard so far

You did check the fluid level and ruled that out???

We put two quarts in and it showed full we tried it and it didn't work still
