Normal efan operation?
So I just got my efans wired up. Using a factory harness. I pinned the correct pins. I dont know if they are working right. When I started the truck they both came on at low speed. and turning on the AC did nothing. So I switched the blue and green leads and re started the truck. No fans came on but when I turn on the AC the passenger side fan comes on in high speed. I let the truck come up to temp and made sure the coolant level was right. The fans never kicked on but the truck never got over the 210 mark. So I took it for a drive with the AC on. I only heard the pass side fan on high come on. I stopped in a parking lot to see if they were both on and they were not just the passenger side one on high. If I turn the AC off the passenger side one is still the only one to come on they both have never been on except before I changed the wires. Is this normal or no?? I did swap the connectors at the fans and turned the ac on to see if the other one is good and it did come on high so I know the motors are good.

Ok I did have it right the first time. So I swapped the wires out again. I know have green to 42 and blue to 33. The truck is up to operating temp already so I started the truck and they did not kick on. I turned on the AC and they both came on in low speed. Now Im assuming when the pcm calls for the cooling fans for the engine it will kick the one on high and the other will stay on low? When they were switched I only had 1 side high speed operation no matter what. Also The fan plug with the yellow wire I have that on the passenger side is this correct?? I did swap them over and it made no difference.

If he has it set for 210* its gonna take a lil while to get up to that. Especially with the AC on and the one fan pulling air across the radiator.
i can idle my truck in 100* weather with the AC on wide open and it takes about 25-30 minutes for the coolant to get up to 210-215 where my fans kick on high.
Do you have a scanner or anyway to read Coolant temp? Factory gauge sucks BTW

I'm running a LS-1 fan with the blackbear harness, Wheatley did my tune for me,I haven't had them come on under normal temps when the air temp is below 85,above 85 or with the AC on both come on at idle or low speeds on high. I had to put a piece of cardboard in front of the radiator to even see if they were working when I first did the swap.

That was my plan just to let it idle for a while and see if they come on or not. Im going to check the pin 42 and make sure its fully seated. I know 33 is bc the fans do come on with the ac.
