p0128, p0452 help
ok this is a little long. but we will start from the begining.
truck has a 5.3 with a 218 cam and stage 1 heads. headers. cai, 160 thermo,
ported tb, elec fans, asp pulley and 2600 stall with flt tranny.
my fuel pump went out, i was out to sea. so my uncle put in a new gm fuel pump.
drove the truck for about 900 miles everything was fine until the other night.
it was raining. not real hard. i was driving home and it popped a ses code. well i was 15 miles form home so i didnt stop. on the highway at 60 mph the truck just shut off. pulled over and it wouldnt start. got it towed to the house. the next day it still wouldnt start. checked the codes. first one was a p0128 and a p0452. replaced the thermo, and new hoses and belts at the same time. thermostat was stuck wide open. so im thinking that was part of it. i also pulled the tank and checked out all the fuel pump and all that. it was working fine. so i put it back in and the truck is running now???
cleared the codes and after 50 miles no more codes yet. my question is why did the truck just stall out in the middle of the road?? how do i make sure the evap code doesnt come back??
thanks everybody. larry

Those two codes shouldn't shut the truck down, unless the truck overheated, maybe?
Maybe when you removed the pump and checked everything, you fixed a connection problem on the fuel pump electrical connector.
glad you got it fixed,
