The awesome random misfire...what would be the easiest way to going about finding the problem? I wouldn't think it would, but could not having a battery in the truck cause some issue like this? My trans has been on its way out and the other truck battery went dead so I swapped them and this code just came on today. I'm in the process of my 80 swap and put a battery in it and started it up and just drove it down the road a little ways and it came on. Heading back home I did lose 3&4 gears too. Haha stupid 60s. Anyways, plugs I'm sure need to be changed. Got 30k on em with boost but what else might cause this? Also what's the best plug for boost? Sorry its so long...

is p0300 the only code your getting? With out a log, its hard to say what it is without throwing random remedies. Your gonna have to just start troubleshooting each cylinder coilpack, plug, plug wire and harness associated with it although most likely if it was one of those, you will get a certain bank or cylinder. could also be possibly crank sensor or camshaft position sensor.......... i also, got a misfire code when i broke a valve spring....... you just have to get under the truck and start looking, and checking.
