OK cool thanks...if the wires are fine I'm gonna have to decide whether I want to bother pulling the s/c or just be content clearing the code every day or so until I can get the new motor in. Hmmm.......

hell worst case, if you have acces to a quick tune. take it out of the code table.

Just tested the resistance of both knock sensors, which I guess are supposed to be right around 100K ohms each. Rear was right on, front was only 55K, so I guess there's my problem. Should I go ahead and replace both of them when I pull the s/c? How long are intake manifold gaskets good for? I'm gonna be pulling the motor apart in a month or two anyway for the LQ9 and I don't want to replace them twice.

Will that hurt anything? Knock sensors will still operate normally?

Does anyone have a picture of the location of the knock sensor wires on the intake manifold?
