Default P0752 and 0757

Having an annoyance where the PCM sets P0752 (shift solenoid A stuck on) on steep hills and P0757 (shift solenoid B stuck on) on moderate hills. I tuned out 0757 a while back because it would set simply climbing a bridge grade.

I just climbed a much steeper hill in D4, going about 10MPH, for about 400' which set the 0752 code.

My question is, is this a tune error or a normal issue for an 80E swap running on a 60E tune? I'm using Frost's 2-relay adapter. The transmission shifts normally all the time. Is this some calibration error caused by the very high stall?

Have you tried yet just turning off (set to No Error Reported) the p0752? I have seen both of these codes pop up due to stall converters including my personal truck. In my experience just turned the codes "off" and would never see them again after that.

Yeah I think I'm going to get 752 turned off too. I was kind of hoping for a way to keep them, you know, for diagnostic purposes lol.

Right! I hear ya. Actually I do believe that those codes are common enough with bigger stalls that if you type in those codes along with the words stall converter into google you will see that a lot of people have run into that issue. It all depends on the operating system and what converter is being used on whether or not it trips those codes. Like I said had the issue on my truck where it would not trip it for say even 6-8 months and then all of the sudden it would freak out and throw the p0757 3-4 times in one day so it's just kind of a strange deal.

You've got to turn those ones off with a 4200 stall.
