Partial Throttle Shift Points
#11
Yeah, the TCC I have set (now) not to lock WOT and only over 50mph in 4th. New Converter coming and I was thinking of letting it lock in 3rd. under 50% TPS similar to stock.
Dusty...think about this for a sec. I have the correct gear and tire size entered into the "speedo" section therefore speeds I enter into the PT tables will be correct, right? Stay with me bro...the actual rpm cannot be the same as stock. For me to go 60mph with 30.5/3.73 I will turn higher rpms than 31.7/3.42

I think we are talking about different sets of tables and not know it. The tables that shift by mph will be corrected when you change the tire/gear. The tables that shift by rpm will use the same correction to the mph enable. If Bill used to shift 3-4 at 60 mph with stock gears he might have been spinning 2000rpm, with new gears/tires that shift at 60mph will need the engine to spin 2300rpm. If Bill still has a 4l60 I wouldn't worry about it because he is lucky if it shifts at all.

we don't have part throttle shift point with rpm. only mph, tps, and gear..
I agree, Bill you are luck the 60 shifts at all! Don't look a gift horse in the mouth...

I did a lot of tweaking to mine especially on the normal(daily driver) mode and it made a real difference in the feel... I felt that the stock settings had it shifting into 4th to early on light throttle. how different are your normal/performance modes?
