Thumbs up Patrick G dyno tune!

First, I'd like to give Patrick G. and Kurt D. a HUGE thanks for their diligence and hospitality yesterday.

Pat ended up doing about 10 pulls on Kurt's dyno, including the baseline pull. By the way - keep in mind that the baseline pull was with a mail order tune that already had my truck running and driving MUCH better than the stock GM tune. All totalled, Pat and Kurt spent about 4.5 hours tuning my truck!

By the way - if you ever go to Patrick for a dyno tune - make absolutely sure that Kurt gives you a full tour, including his "man cave" - WOW!

Now for the meat of the matter - bottom line - Pat was able to tune my truck to peak gains of 16.2 lb-ft corrected torque, and 15.4 corrected HP. Patrick's final corrected peak numbers - remember this is on Kurt's Mustang Dyno - were 368.348 HP and 384.099 TQ. My conservative calculations indicate 460 HP at the crank - OUTSTANDING!

Pat made sure to discuss his choices during the tuning process - and we agreed to leave the last few HP "on the table", considering the spotty quality of today's pump fuels.

The raw numbers don't even tell 1/2 of the story, however, as his VVT tuning plus his transmission tuning have transformed my truck's driveability! Part throttle response and low RPM torque have made it a dream to drive, and the transmission shifts are clean and crisp - NOT harsh. THIS is the way GM should ship these trucks, but then - of course - Pat, Kurt and all the other tuners would be out of work, LOL!

Once again, thanks - Pat and Kurt have a customer for life!

Thanks, and yep - the 6.2 really responds to headers and tune. I doubt that the AIRAID intake tube really does much - if anything - but it sounds cool, LOL!

Last two mods I'm gonna make are a Patrick G spec VVT camshaft (along with the required valve springs and pushrods), and a 3.73 gear.

That'll keep me happy until the 2013's come out!

That's fantastic.
I guess I really should stop smack talking back and forth with my neighbor about his Denali now that I know better, lol....

Yep - actually a bit below during some of the pull!

PIG rich . . .

Pat was able to correct that on his very first calibration. The remainder of the pulls were to fine to the VVT and ignition lead.
