Ahh ... does it not mean that when you pretty much go WOT you go into PE?? at least that was my idea, if that is the case then my filtering will not work.

throttle position is only one part of how to enter pe...there are many other factors...rpm, map, time, etc.

Well the only thing that you can adjust on edit to control going into PE is Load and TP sensor. I know rpm is a factor but it is an independent variable.

I mean you can try out those filters & they might work...the one I posted is pretty much guaranteed to work though.

Dumb question but if you do AFR> 14.6. This means that it will only record data that is greater than this value. Therefore due to tuning files you might have cells that actually run richer even without going into PE mode. But you will not catch this on your scanning because of the filter. Am I right.

unless your vehicle goes into open loop for some unknown reason it should ALWAYS command stoich which in most cars is between 14.63-14.68:1 UNTIL you go into pe mode...so the filter i posted will only show the data when the air fuel is between 14.6-14.79:1 basically.

Since we are talking about filters I can only assume you are not trying to avoid PE but filtering it out (recommended) I agrea with foff667 and tried to spell it out more clearly, [SENS.121] >14.6 Its simple and affective... Just add "Air Fuel Ratio Command Hi Res" To your table display. [SENS.121] >14.6 is going to filter out everything, Startup, restarts, PE until the Command ARF 14.681. If the Command AFR goes below 14.681 its filtered out.

thanks 1 slow, didnt think about startup...at startup your going to use your OLFA tables which will always be less then stoich...sometimes as rich as 9:1 commanded afr...just one more reason to use the 14.6 filter

I like the idea of using both filters, in case you have DFCO enabled or overrun the engine...
