Default Which power inverter do you use.

I'm wanting to install a power inverter in my truck. It will be a permanent install with power connected to the battery. Some of the things that I would use it for: charging my lap top, camera battery and a tire inflator. Thinking about something in the 600w range.

TrippLite PV700HF or Duracell is what I'd recommend

Are you looking to run any motors or audio equipment? If so, you need a Pure Sine inverter. Squarewave inverters, while cheaper, are hard on some motors and make a lot of line noise.

I run a Whister 1200w modified sine inverter. It generally has enough pep to run whatever I need it to.

I mounted a Cobra 750W under my back seat, hooked to a relay under the hood and a switch in my center console to control it.
Ive had it for about 6 years and still goin strong.
It has a USB connection on it to so you can charge stuff there also.

I just ordered the Whister-Pro 1200w power inverter. I have some left over 4 gauge wire from my audio install in my jeep. Going to mount it under the rear seat. Thanks for all the help.

It has a on/off switch. If I run into issues I'll add a relay.

I got the inverter in. I did a quick test using some jumper cables and it works pretty good. What size wire should I run. I have a bunch of 4ga wire that I could use. or should I get some 2 gauge wire?
