Default Questionable Tune

My brother just bought a used 2003 Chevy ECSB Z-71 with 56,000 miles. Just wondering if there is any way to tell the difference by looking at the PCM or any other characteristics of a tune. Him and I raced today and he beat me by quite a bit and I have a 2006 RCSB Z-71 with 2,000 miles, both with 5.3 and Auto. He has 3.73 and I have 3.42 gears. I didn't think that 3.73 would make that big of a difference. Any info would be great.

Thanks

If you could pull the file a tuner would be able to tell you what, if anything, had been adjusted. I'm sure certain tables will give away if he has a no lope cam in there or whatever. The gears are gonna help him a little from a dig. Have you looked up the weight difference between your trucks?

I do not have a tuner or any way to check this. I just didnt know if the tuner would put some kind of decal or somthing on the PCM or anything. I could get weight sometime next week or so but he took me the whole way, alot of it was out of the hole but he just kept going. The first time we tried it we went from a stop light and when it turned green we both hammered it as the same time and mine just fell on its face, TQ management, his took off like nothing. Did 03 have less TQ M or somthing, his dosent stumble like mine or not near as bad. Thanks

If you email me his vin number i can check if it was one of our computers.

We have tuned over 7200 pcms so there is a good chance it is one of ours. I can give you the old owners of the trucks name also for verification.

That truck with 2000 miles isnt fully broken in yet, the newer GEN 3/4 engines take quite a few mile to break in fully, race again after 10-15,000 miles.

His truck could have a tune as well of course.
