Default raising idle after stall??

got the transmission buttoned up after the second breakage. It happened last time as well, but i didn't have any time to look into it. Is it typical to need to raise the idle after a stall? After the engine has warmed up and i come to a stop, sometimes the idle will drop low and the engine dies.. Especially if I turn the wheel really quick when the truck is idling in gear. I'm tired of having to hold the brake pedal and the gas at a stoplight so it doesn't get a chance to die.

Again, no cam. practically stock tune, stock idle rpm, etc etc. Does the idle need to be raised or should i be looking elsewhere? I cleaned the throttle body bore and blade. Air filter is NASTY dirty but i don't think that would cause it.

You can raise the idle, you can throw more gas at it, could be many things. Mine was a poor choice of spark plugs causing sequential misfires at idle.

That only has to do with the throttle blade during transitional state. What he is describing is solid state idle. I have had very good luck with logging and adjusting the base idle air flow table. Keep in mind what has changed, the smaller converter will always make an engine harder to stay at a steady idle.

it does it once the engine is warmed up.. So bumping the idle airflow up from the stock 0.701 to say something around .8-ish? just trial and error between .75 and .90?

This is why I posted it:

Even after a stop it still has to delay/decay for a short period.

No guessing is need just log the adaptive idle and see what correction is going on.
