removed air filter

Default removed air filter

just bought a 2000 blazer with a 4.3, found the air filter had been removed, i put one in and now it is throwing a code, i wont be able to scan the code til wednesday, but any idea why on earth someone would remove the air filter ?

no clue something doesnt add up there is no reason to run no air filter or why you would throw a code installing one .. the closest poss guess would be dirty mass air sensor

I'd bet you're right. Grab some MAF cleaner and soak that thing down.
