its 3 times. if you have the driver info center to the left on the guage cluster then turn the key to run without the engine running. press the gas 3 times. the change oil light should flash 5 times then stop. when it does the oil life is reset. if its a newer truck 03 and up turn the key on and press the gas 3 times and its set.

and: The '03 Manual says:
If you are not equipped with a DIC!![Embarassed](https://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_emb.gif)
1. Turn the ignition key to RUN with the engine off.
2. Fully press and release the accelerator pedal three times within five seconds.
3. 02Reaper's suggestions are purely optional...LOL![Secret2](https://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/secret.gif)
If the OIL LIFE RESET message flashes for 10 seconds, the system is reset.
If not try try again or take it to the dealer (Booooooo)

It often takes several attempts before it will reset, especially if you were "late" getting the oil change done.
Tech Tip: Remove any floor mats that may prevent the pedal from going ALL THE WAY to the floor. TPS has to go from 0% to 100% 3 times in a row, within 5 seconds.
