Default rough idle

we checked it on the laptop and it had multiple cylinder misfire but no enough
to pull a code. any ideas? i wish it would just be SMOOTH again. could it possibly be a fuel pump, filter, injectors, etc?

i had a lean code once, that was because the cheap *** whipple cai fell off at the throttle body. other than that everything looked fine on the laptop. when we revved it up they all went crazy but it did't sound bad. i can rev it up in park and it misses pretty bad when i hold it at about 2500rpm. i don't have a clue. still haven't checked fuel pressure though. what is a good way of doing that?

if your misfire is at idle and smoothes up under a load i would say the fuel injectors. if it has a smooth idle and misfires under a load i would say spark. are you able to do a fuel injector balance test? from what is sounds like i would clean the fuel injectors.

wow. thanks alot! it doesn't miss under load so i will start going for fuel. might as well replace the filter, and clean the injectors. should i just run fuel injector additive through the fuel tank or take them out and clean them?

A friend of mine just went through this same type thing except he doesn't have a whipple. After changing plugs, wires, and 2 coils it turned out to be a bad fuel pressure regulator. Hope this helps.

Good luck Jason

have you done the injectors and fuel filter?

did you put new injectors in with the whipple or are you still on stock and are you still on stock fuel pump
