I got the idea and all my info over on the HPT site. I'll post a link.

Forced induction guys often add more dwell.

It pissed me off for the last time. So i attacked it with my dremel... To the naked eye everything looks good, except that only the IAT is intact. Besides i like running SD all the time anyways.

The short version of the long story is, when i ordered my HPT cable i bought a 1bar SD enhancement even though the engine was stock. Heck i didnt know anybetter at the time. But now, with the bolton's etc i'm finding using SD mode much easier and more reliable as i just couldnt get my MAF to listen to me lol. So i gutted it and havent looked back yet.

Whether or not there is any advantage over a MAF. I dont know, although without the 1Bar SD enhancement i'd keep that MAF in place. As with the enhancement i still have both Octane spark tables, and a VE Multiplyer that seems to just kick *** for helping part throttle driving fueling. As for fuel economy, i havent noticed any change. Although if i had to give a defient answer, i'd say mileage would be better with a properly tuned MAF.

Down low more dwell seems to add more TQ and power. GM claims the coils are good to 8ms dwell for 200,000 miles. My off the line power and throttle responce is much better with more dwell. I'd say increase your dwell to 6-6.5 and see how you like it.

So i should set them at 6ms and not mess with the multiplyer at all right?
