Default SCT X3 or Diablosport Predator

Which is a better hand held flash tuner the SCT X3 Power Flash Tuner or the Diablosport Predator? Which one can do a better job at setting timing and fuel ratios?

The diablo Predator will let you adjust all of that.... has more adjustability than the SCT for sure... plus you can get custom tunes created specifically for your truck, and store up to 5 of them in the predator along with the standard diablo tunes included. Plus you can do complete data logging with the new ones as well... You'd need a U7198 model predator for your 2000 Silverado...

Items you can adjust yourself via the predator include:

#
Timing Table 1000-1800rpm (+/- 20%)
#
Timing Table 2000-4000rpm (+/- 20%)
#
Timing Table 4000-7000rpm (+/- 20%)
#
Fuel Table 2000-4000rpm (+/- 20%)
#
Fuel Table 4000-7000rpm (+/- 20%)
#
Idle (+ 500rpm / -300rpm)
#
Speed Limiters
#
Rev Limiters
#
RPM Shift Points
#
MPH Up and Downshifts
#
Shift Timing
#
Shift Pressure
#
Cooling Fan ON and OFF temperatures
#
Re-Calibrate Speedometer for Gear and Tire Size Changes
#
Torque Management abuse mode time limit ON/OFF
#
% torque reduction vs. RPM ON/OFF
#
Upshift torque reduction (all gears) ON/OFF
#
Adjust for different injector size
#
Adjust COT enable temperature

And much more is adjustable via a custom CMR tune from a diablosport CMR tuner (like myself)... the diablosport CMR tuning software is like hp tuners, and allows access to everything.

I just bought the Predator for my 04 1500 z71 and really like it so far. On a flat highway with a little tail wind I was getting almost 23mpg. used to get 13.5......... Im not sure if there was something else wrong that it fixed or what but even on the way back with a head wind it only dropped to 18.5mpg.. Plus if you get more into it you can get custom tunes emailed to you and installed instead of sending pcm off then swapping it out etc..

Get the Predator. You can make your own adjustments, and you can get custom tunes uploaded to it.

ok............

Believe me im pretty suprized that this thing even worked having ordered it from rpmoutlet given their reputation. Ive had a tune by nelson (89 octane) years ago after I got this truck and it was pretty quick compared to other z71's, actually never got beat by another Z with their own cool mods..
Anyways recently I had to replace ecm, not because of tune I just pretty much sank it in a small pond and instead of e-mailing them for the fourh or fifth time for a retune I just went this route. maybe not near as good as hptuners or efilive(but it IS $200-$300 less or more for the "V2" or whatever) but a LOT more handy than calling/ driving 1.5 hours or waiting for another pcm in the mail. Not to mention I just dont care enough to learn the hp, efi, or ls1edit software, i mean its close to 3 tons, a lifted 4x4 pickup, its not going to real fast but it can be more fun to drive and obvioulsy get better gas mileage. Plus nelson performance can send me custom tunes via e-mail when or if they ever remember me. Or I guess I can try another place but Nelson was pretty cool to deal with even if it was a few days late
