Separating BCM & PCM ??
Ok i been thinkin and i've been wanting to relocate the pcm and cleaning up the harness.
so since i have my engine harness unpluged already i went ahead and put power to the trucks system (bcm) and guess what..Everything worked well except for the guages but that was expected lights highes brake lights blinkers/turn signals..
To me i dont think there will be an issue running a complete standalone pcm harness aside for rewiring the guages in the original harness and if im not mistaken the obd2 plug has its own harness that i can jus move to wherever i need it right?
I dont have any wiring diagrams yet but im gonna get some soon. but im gonna start working on this little by little..
Has anyone ever done this or have any tips on something associated to this please chime in..

It's fairly painless, but will require some attention to detail if you want to do it right and make it look good.
If you want a simple explaination, all the pink wires are switched 12V, all the orange are constant 12V and the blacks are ground.
Other than that there is a ton of reading you can do over on ls1tech
