So i have to ***** foot my truck to drive it and it is driving me nuts. I"m gonna do an oil change, re-place fuel filter, clean mass air, clean throttle body today. It needs to be done anyway but I have to rule a couple thins out first. I will also check for any vaccum leaks too.
Your issues are leading me to believe that you have a severely contaminated or failed mass airflow sensor.

Good luck!

Low FP would cause both banks to be lean, Not saying it isnt possible. Just thinking out loud.

I had to get towed home yesterday.... The truck just quit at a very busy intersection. I tried to restart but it just turned over. So after nobody helps me push the truck out of the way, and just jerks flipping me off and honkin there horns and giving dirty looks. Finally a tow truck just happen to be passing by and helped me out. So I get a tow home and I just looked at the truck today. My dad says is there gas in it. Well the gauge says a 1/4 tank. He just happen to have a full gas can and we poured it in. The trucks starts right up. WTF...Sending unit must be bad. I put the fuel pressure gauge on it and at idle it is saying 30 psi. I reved it up to 4000 rpm and the fuel pressure go down to 27-28. Bad fuel pump? This is a walbro 255 that has about 8,000 miles on it. Are walbros known for issues? Any other suggestions or things I may need to check out?

I'd like to know about that fuel pump too...mine has about 10k or so on it but my fuel pressure shoots up to 58 when I punch it but suddenly falls off 10 psi...puzzles me...I've noticed it keeps getting worse just riding around. When I have to drive it like a couple weeks ago when the slave cylinder went out in my regency I just baby it. It's officially fallen to 43 psi while idling and driving around. So confused....

Hey 5.3 do you know what the psi of the fuel pressure should be.. BTW sorry to hack your thread but I just didn't want to many threads going at the same time when we are having the kind of issues.
