Default Should I be getting more out of my tune?

so last week i got a wester's tune from butch brochu (denalitrucks.com). i got the 91/93 hot tune (aka most powerful), 80% TM removed, all that fun stuff. i like it a lot, but i have a question. i have a RCSB 5.3L 4x4 with 3.73s and posi and even after the tune i can't get the rear end to break loose. the tires give a little "screech" then i just go. it reacted just about the same before the tune. it really didnt change much after the tune. i have a *******'s tonneau on, so i do have more weight on the rear tires, but still, i feel i should have more power off the line with the tune. anyone else experience this? could i get it tuned for more low end power? i know i'm not gonna spin them half a mile, but i feel i should be able to pinstripe the pavement a little bit without the brake.

oh and the other performance mods are intake and exhaust. thanks for any help.

I Think it's the 3.73s that are killing your holeshot, I have a 6.0 and 3.73s in a heavier truck and I get exactly the same thing. they break loose very little. so I don't even try anymore.. But from a rolling start It does pretty well..

I guarantee you that the timing is still fairly low in that tune.

so i could ask Butch to up the timing and that should make a big difference? are there any ill affects by doing that? will gaining more low-end cause me to lose top-end?

Well its also in what your tune can take, I bet the Westers can take more timing, but some trucks wont be able to take much more. i encourage you to get ahold of someone with some datalogging software so you can send Lyndon a log of what your truck is doing so he can adjust based on that and not blindly.

Yu need to log it and see where it stands and also see if there is any KR and so forth. While you are at it log the fuel trims and send to them, not sure if they will p[lay with the VE and or MAF table even with logs or not, some tuners will not.
