So did wait 4 me f up or what??
Me and my brother finially bought hp tuners. The lq9 in my 86 k5 has run like **** from day one and Jesse did the tune. So it has a 98 harness and pcm and the following:
Here is what is has:
02 LQ9 with truck intake, maf, coils, acc.
CAI
Mac Mids for f-body
275 Xtreme Hi Lift Cam
Part Number 54-426-11
Duration @ .050 = 222/224
Lift = .566/.568
Adv Duration = 275/277
LSA = 112
Ford red top 30lbs
th400, 2500 stall and 4:56 gears
Starting to figure out why it runs like ****. He did not copy the values of a lq9 over to my pcm. Hell I made a list of what I did to the motor and sent it with my pcm. I just downloaded a stock 98 tune and the injector tables are the exact same!!! He knew I put red tops in!!! The engine selection tab was still labeled as a 5.7 and the cylinder volume was still for a 5.7.
Should I just start over with my own tune and copy all the data from a stock 02 LQ9 and go from there?
Could the 5.7 values make it a pig? I would assume so but I am new to tuning.

i had W4M for my 4.3 - it was fine. then he did my 5.3 swap a couple years ago - wouldn't even start; he swore up & down for a week i did something wrong; put my computer in a friend's truck & got same result, so i sent it back. new PCM ran but not all that great & he set the wrong gear ratio, so my speedo/odo was off & kept tripping abs/vss codes. got a mail order from BlackBear & was eleventybillion times better. just upgraded to a datalog (shoulda started with that) for my headers. runs even better
