I'm looking to get into some bracket racing this year so I've been checking out 2 steps for consistent launches. I can swing .08 in 60ft and .11 et depending on my launch rpm and I'd much rather watch the tree then the tach. With that said I'm afraid the blower will make to much boost for the truck to hold back. Anyone 2 step at 2200 or so with a pd blower?

The msd 8733 is the one I was looking at. Read to many problems about the lpe and I dont need all the extras. You guys have any problem giving it hell near your stall speed without a t brake? I'm not sure how much boost it makes at lower rpm but I would guess its close to what it makes in the 4 to 6k range. It seems like this converter works best not flashing but rather pushing it hard

I'm curious as to how that works? The problem is I don't have any tuning software and my tuner won't always be at the track so if I wanted to change rpm I couldn't.
I did some tests on the street tonight. I'm really impressed with this converter its mild around town after syty shuffle on street tires I can brake stall to 3400 rpm 8# s of boost before I spin. I could prob get close to 4 k on slicks which is about a 1 k higher then I thought.

Just have him set it up for 3500 or 4000 max for launching

Thanks bud, I'll talk to him next time I see him but I accidentally ordered the msd 8733, damn amazon one click ordering... Anyway this 258 mm 1 a circle d converter actually stalls a lot higher then I thought it would. On the street on street tires I can brake stall to 3400 @ 8# s before I start to spin. I tried 3200 on 2 step and it spun because of 13# s I didn't mess around anymore figured someone would call the police on me haha.
