Is the cover on the Throttle Body riveted or clipped on?

Have you tried pulling the terminals from both the T-Body connector and the TAC modlue and soldering the crimps? I have found this to fix about 40% of the 5% that replacing the T-Body didn't fix. The other 60% of the 5% I rewire and solder the crimps

95% of the time a new Throttle body fixes the issue if DTC P2135 is set
The other 5% is a wiring issue. I end up rewiring the TPS and TAC Motor circuits about 6 out of every 10, but first I try soldering the crimps and it works 4 out of the 10. It takes me 10 minute to solder the crimps and then I am off on my test drive. If it doesn't fix it I am only down 20 minutes vs an hour and a half to restring wires crimp new ends on and the test drive.

I had 1 bad TAC module in the last 12 years. That was way back in 2002 and that was on a 8.1L Avalanche.

the LS2 has the security screws. the 87 has clips iirc

i have not tried soldering them. i have removed 6" from the TB end of the harness and re-pinned it.

i have tried 87 and 90mm TBs...both set codes. when i plug in a 78mm, the codes clear at key run but i cant start it due to the blower TB flange and the shortened harness wont reach.

i have tried swapping TAC and pedal with no luck

About 6 months ago I had an Escalade that came in with a P2135. I sold a new GM T-body, but the T-Body that was on it had been replaced 6 months before that and it had a New GM Wire Connector with wires on the T-Body also. I installed the T-Body and the guy came back about 4 months later with the same concern, but different DTC's and no P2135. I could not duplicate the DTC's so I soldered the crimps and shipped it back out. The guy returned 2 days later and now P2135 was the only DTC set.
I load tested the circuits by installing a headlamp bulb on each circuit and checking for a voltage drop. I also did this in paired circuits and found no differences in any of the circuits while wiggling and pulling on the harness and terminals. -- I sent the guy back out and he returned on the following Monday. I had enough and I rewired the circuits. I thhave not seen the guy in 2 months. Now was it a bad wire or was it the REPLACEMENT GM wire connector?

The TPS is not wired to the PCM and that is why you can't see the TPS 1 and TPS 2. The TAC sends the TPS data to the PCM via a UART serial data.
I can't see a bad PCM setting these DTC's, but I will sell you a PCM

I reused the TB connector...I bought pins and recrimped with the proper tool.

I am 90% ready to do a DBC swap....too bad the 90+mm cable TBs are $$$$

codes are still P2135, P0120, P0220, P1515, P1518
