I think the 1.4L Turbo Cruze gets 40 mpg. 1.4L is a small engine that has less airflow than a 2.2L at 70 mph. The 1.4L Turbo Cruze will get up to the given 70 mph faster than the NA 2.2L Cobalt. The Cruze won't be lugging for 1 mile getting up to the 70 mph at 25% throttle, but the Cobalt will. Then the Cobalt will use more fuel
A 6.0L with 4.10 and the HD tune with a 60 second PE delay uses more gas than a 6.0L 4.10 without the PE delay.
If you have a chance drive a 6.0L HD with a 60 second PE Delay. Then adjust it to 3 seconds. You will feel it kick in. Almost like a quadabog

As long as you make more HP at cruise speed. This will require less airflow.

What size cam for a given engine size starts to effect mpg? It seems any cam larger then stock raises the LTFT's at cruise?
I think the PE delay is depends on how fast your accelerating. If every time you take off and only use 20-35% throttle then no PE is probably better. If your always at 75% throttle then having PE kick in should help. So depending on how you drive that will determine if there should be delay and at what throttle position you want it to kick in at.
