You will still have a significant bog after the 1-2 shift. Torque management retards timing to significantly reduce power during shifting to reduce strain on the trans. Some have commented that it is worse with the shift kit and TM versus stock. Mine still bogged badly after the built trans until I reprogrammed the PCM and removed most of the TM.

If your pulling a 25ft trailer you should go do the complete hd2 shift kit. It does more than just improve performance. The .490 boost valve will give it better line rise. It also will improve tcc operation. It also adresses some of the quirks, like the 1-2 bump and double bump. There is also a junior kit that costs about half as much that we put in every 4l60 and 65 we build. In my trans i used a corvette servo $12 and a sonnex 4th servo $45. You will like the way it shifts at wot. It may chirp the tires in tow haul. At part throttle if you let off a little before it shifts in second it will feel a little weird. It will make your trans last longer though.

Do you still recommend a vette servo for the 4L65 as the first tranny mod? I know there are differences from 4L60 to the 65, but I have no idea what they are.
