O.K so maybe I'm not as lazy as I thought. Here is the post that I followed by our own moregrip.

No, just bald *** tires.

J/K I could do burnouts before I removed any torque management. Did one at night w/ a screw I had picked up in the tread of a rear tire. It made the outside radius look like it was glowing orange and sparking.

It's just that much easier w/o torque management. I actually lost some traction launching from red lights on rainy days.

I don't recommend the screw burnout because the second time I tried it I ended up racing to the autoparts store a few blocks away to plug the tire before it went flat.

An RCSB is a whole lot lighter than an avalanche. I've got a CCSB Sierra 5.3 and it won't

I have not yet removed TM. I knew it would affect shifting (1-2 Chirp) but I didn't know it affected launches.

I think there's at least one handheld that can remove TM. I think it's the Diablo.

To remove or not to remove... that is the question...

As a speed junky, I've blown one trans after 2500 miles, then the 2nd with 1/10th of a mile. That trans saw a rebuild, but didn't engage 3rd at all. After the 2nd rebuild on this trans the shifts lingered too long. Modified the tune, then perfect. After a few WOT bursts, 3rd & 4th gear waved good-bye. Now, I'm waiting on money to buy a built unit from a site sponsor.

BTW, I had no TM. Still wanna remove all of it on a stock-ish transmission?

1996 is when it started. My 1997 truck has it, until I disabled TM using Tunercats OBD2 tuning software/hardware.
