Truck stalls after remote start on cold days?

A good remote start system kicks the **** outta factory crap for range and features. The big thing that makes remote start act goofy is when the installer is lazy and does not hook up the tach lead for the auto start. That's when they start having problems like the guy above mentioned earlier. The installer probably set it to voltage sensing instead of giving it a tach signal for RPM monitoring.

I have used and installed countless auto start alarms since the mid 90's when they first came out and when installed correctly they work flawlessly every time.

Look for clifford viper DEI brand stuff for your canyon and you will love it.

I did a clifford on my 2011 because the factory remote start sucks the range is terrible and it can only run 5 minutes before it shuts off. That's not even enough time to warm the heater up.
